» Pressure sensitive magnetic strips

Akme Cards offers pressure sensitive magnetic stripes in Low Coercivity (LoCo) or High Coercivity (HiCo) formats with the stripes either 3/8” or 1/2" width. These magnetic stripes are manufactured to ISO specifications.

LoCo is at 300 Oerstead which is less expensive and is used for prepaid phone cards and loyalty cards. HiCo is at 2750 Oerstead, which allows many swipes, can be rewritten, and has a stronger magnetic field of resistance is mainly used for debit and credit cards.
Magnetic stripes can be used with many different product applications. The phone card industry has a unique use for magnetic stripes.
